Wondering who The Wonder Girls are? Already a pop phenomenon in Asia, the South Korean pop quintet – which includes members Sun, 20, Yenny, 20, Mimi, 17, Yubin, 21, Sohee, 17 – is making a splash in the U.S. with their infectious bubblegum pop tunes.

Their first single titled "Nobody" landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, making them the first group from South Korea to make such a mark in the U.S. But tween girls know them as the group that shared the stage with the Jonas Brothers this past summer.

Here are five fun facts about these five fresh-faced females:

1. They're tight with the JoBros:
The girl group lived the dream of tween girls everywhere: They spent almost two months with the Jonas Brothers as their opening act for the U.S. leg of their 2009 world tour. The girls bonded with the brothers on the road to the point that Joe has been spotted wearing the Wonder Girls shirt, and on Sun's birthday in August, the rock trio bought her a cake (cue adoring sighs). At the time, Sun tweeted, "The guys came to me and wished me a happy bday w/a gorgeous cake! Thank you to the Jonas Brothers for making my bday so special!!"

2. Their manager was a '90s megastar:
The man behind the group is a star in his own right. Singer-songwriter J.Y. Park became a K-pop sensation in the 1990s, releasing seven albums. He later opened an intensive music school called JYP Academy in Seoul where all five Wonder Girls studied before forming the group.

3. They are reality TV veterans:
The girls have already conquered the small screen. MTV Asia created a reality show about them called MTV Wonder Girls, which followed the group in their everyday lives. Also, Sun was the winner of the Korean equivalent ofAmerican Idol called Special Project: Developing a Genius before joining the Wonder Girls as the group's de facto leader.

4. They started an online dance craze:
Their popularity in Asia peaked when the video for their 2007 single "Tell Me"sparked a viral dance craze and inspired fans began to post their own renditions of the moves.

5. Yes, they like dressing alike:
With their '60s style bobs and doo-wop wardrobe, these sweet-faced girls embrace a retro-Motown vibe. The band told instyle.com that their main fashion inspirations are timeless style icons like Twiggy to Audrey Hepburn

Tila Nguyen (Tequila), caused quite the attention from the blogging world. Apparently she went on "crazy" rants, in particular about ex-boyfriend Sean Merriman, during videos she was topless, and had no regard for her nipples popping out during her LIVE ustream video feed. So everyone is braiding their pubes over this...
"she had a meltdown!" "she needs help!... "I knew she was nuts!!!!"

Whats the Big deal ? if you google "Tila Nguyen", you'll see she has done nude work already, so her titty slip is not anything people haven't seen before. As for the Crazy Rants ? If you have watched a Tila Tequila Ustream feed before, or any of her videos, you know its all about, talking shit, rapping fails, stripping, and crazy rants. Whats new ?

Why is everyone so wrapped up about it this time?

Cause Sex Sells, and "Crazy" Sells !!! Everyone loves sex type scandals, so thats a given. But remember when Britney spears went through her Looney Phase?? The Media was allllllll over it. The hater in us love to
watch famous people go ape shit, it makes us feel better, that those celebrities don't have the perfect life.... well most people do. Selling "sex" or "Crazy" news alone won't sell for an internet celebrity, combine them together, and you get 1500 blogs written about her...... make that 1501

Losers : Tila Tequila, Spread Eagle

Winners : Ustream, Under Aged Boys

So enough about over-hyped sex scandals, the Miss Universe Japan and Miss Trinidad and Tobago is where it's at. Right now the Miss Universe beauties are trying to clear Hiroko Mima's name by saying it wasn't her in the video, but I don't know.... the photos look awfully close. With the power of the internet, Sex scandals have become almost a social norm, now one pops up every few months. People go ape shit for a while than, the celebrity signs to a Reality show.

Losers : Miss Japan (Even if its not her, her name has been tainted) Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Condoms

Winners : Under aged boy..... Miss Trinidad and Tobago's boyfriend

miss japan miss trinidad
(Miss Trindad on the Left, Miss Japan on the Right)

Let me stop you for a second here. This man is one lucky SOB. In this one short video. He gives it to Miss Japan in the butt, then she checks his thermometer with her mouth,  soon after the two girls make out passionately in front of him, proceeded by  Miss Trinidad and Tobago finishing him off by pumping him like hes an Exxon Gas Station at 32 cents a Liter.

Forget all these attempts and interviews focused on these two beauties to find out whether or not Miss Japan was the person in the video.....Interview the boyfriend and ask him...
" how the hell did he pull off a THREE-some with TWO miss-universe beauties and ONE camera? "

Respect !!!

Manny vs. MayWeather?

Written by RT on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 1:57 PM

Quick Shout to Manny Pacquiao ! The Man is creating a movement in Asia. Last nights twitter feeds were over flowing with constant love and support for the man from all backgrounds. Of course Filipinos have been proud since day one, and watched him become one of the best fighters out there right now. No other boxer has EVER had seven belts!! Congrats to Pacman... As well I believed he did the concert the same night? He sang eight songs!!! What a guy !!!

So how will he stack up against Mayweather? Mayweather famous for his trash talking already stated it would be an "easy fight"? Cocky or just the truth? Face it most people are jumping on the Manny bandwagon. Everyone that thinks that Pacquiao can beat no problem Mayweather must be kidding. Don't forget Mayweather is undefeated for a reason. However Pacquaio looks like he's fighting at his best right now, the combinations, the attacks, the speed. Most importantly I think it will be Pacquiaos heart that will give him the edge. All I know, if this fight goes down it would be Epic, and 1 match won't settle it.... I'm already waiting for Manny vs. Mayweather II.

Of course also shout out too American Idol Season 7 contestant, sweet-heart, Ramiele Malubay, who did an amazing job with the national anthem. The girl has crazy strong vocals!!! man I was numb!! How great was it having a filipino-american sing for a filipino fighter? Thats urbanasia! Hopefully I can get an interview from her.

True Leaders aren't Insecure of themselves!

Written by RT on at 1:13 PM

So Obama shows the Emperor of Japan respect and bows to him. As you know, bowing is a huge sign of respect in Japan. The lower the bow, the more respectful the gesture. What I loved about this, is it shows Obama's sensitivity to culture and tradition. He's secure enough of himself as a leader to worry about the gesture as being "lower" to the emperor.

So on the flipside this causes outrage among certain critics. Critics viewed Obama's gesture as weakness, or view him as the Leader of the Free World, and he shouldn't be subservient to any foreign leader...

"it's not appropriate for an American president to bow to a foreign one, We don't defer to kings or emperors."

"some critics have gone so far as to call the bow a sign of treason " (*reuters)

"the president looks like a chicken picking up crumbs, the president has a very unflattering track record of humiliating himself before foreign rulers " (newsblaze.com)

I still find it shocking the arrogance that still lingers within some people in the United States.I was thinking its just a handful of hick-tards, but its seems like enough people are mad about it to get the attention of the Media. It's kind of scary how the mentality of Conservatives and Republicans are, it takes the country so much further back. Americans have already tasted that bitterness from the Bush era. It's so petty that people would attack a positive gesture, that moves diplomacy and international relations forward. Don't forget Bill Clinton did the same thing in 1994, and he didn't get any scrutiny (something the young republicans video did not show). Nothing else really to say, but my respect goes out to Obama and what he is doing not just for USA but the world stage. The man is one of the most powerful leaders in the world, yet he has the respect and humbleness for others. That is why he is going to be a great leader. Clap for him!!

Jin making a Comeback?

Written by RT on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 9:00 PM

Jin exploded into the scene after reaching the Hall of Fame on BET's 106 and Park, after Battle Rapping on Freestyle Fridays. However, it wasn't his 7 consecutive wins that made him popular. Jin brought something different to the table. He was an Asian man who was amazing at battle rapping. Through his clever choice of words and witty comebacks, he got the attention from Wyclef Jean and DMX's RuffRyders (Virgin Records). Because of this, Jin took a step into hip-hop history, and became the first mainstream Asian rapper.

However, Jin's run in the industry didn't last very long. After dropping one album under Ruff Ryders, Jin declared himself out of the game. In an interview with XXL Magazine, he stated that he could not be his true self in his record. As well he was disgruntled with overall politics of the music industry. Jin decided he wanted to go back to what is true to him, which is battle rapping.

Although it was a respectful decision, it was something I still find hard to understand. Not everyone can achieve their dreams, and Jin was able to. Yet, he couldn't find happiness. When a person is in such a grand position, sometimes they have to look beyond their individual needs, and look at the grand scale of the power they hold. Jin represented a symbol to the Asian community; that dreams can be achieved. If you look at President Barrack Obama, the man faces constant scrutiny daily, yet he manages to fight through every single day for what he believes in. Yao Ming is another example, his first few years in the NBA, he was lit up, embarrassed, and called a bust by every possible sports analyst. What these two guys hold in common was they they over came all the BS, all the politics, and put themselves aside, and fought for the people that believe in them. It's like getting into the college you want... that's the easy part, getting through your program and graduating is the tough part. Jin did not graduate, he quit.

So since leaving the Ruff Ryders, Jin kept true to his word. He went back to the Mic and started battling again....however this time it was different. Emcees that battled Jin came with complete fire. Similar to a sports team who won a championship, he was a target for hungry sharks. Jin was completely burned in the battle scene. He then decided to live in Hong Kong, explore his opportunities, as well tour Asia for the next few years.

While remaining fairly low-key in the United States for the past few years, there is a new buzz floating around Jin. A Battle Emcee by name of Dizaster and the president of Grindtime's Northwest division "Immaculate" challenged Jin to a battle. Skeptics believed that Jin would not come back to battle rapping in North America again. However, Jin responded in a video that he accepts the battle with Immaculate and Dizaster.

So what can we expect from Jin? While he was touring and making canto hip-hop tracks, the battle scene has grown significantly. Such institutions as GrindTime have found and developed some of the finest battle rappers in the USA. It's hard to say if Jin will have the fire we once saw on Freestyle Fridays, to think of it, was there a point in his career where he topped that? Stepping out of the scene so long, living in another country that speaks another language, their has to be lingering rust. Furthermore, emcees have so much dirt and information on Jin that will give them an endless ammunition of attacks that go way beyond stereotypical asian jokes. It maybe one of Jin's last chances to protect his integrity as a battle rapper. Therefore he must take this seriously and annhilate his opponents. If he can do so, count on the fans already declearing "Jin's Comeback". Only time will tell, if Jin's legacy will be remembered as the Golden Child...... or the Golden Lemon.
