Vancouver 2010

The 2010 Olympics finally arrived! However, with all random competitions many might not be interested in, along with many unknown athletes, what makes it so exciting? Say you're from the Philippines, who can you cheer for? I've compiled a quick list of star urbanasians, that you can look out for, and have a bit more interesting people and event to look forward to at the Winter Olympics.

Apolo Anton Ohno (Speed Skating) - Already an Olympic Champion winning Gold at Salt Like City and Turin. Ohno is not only a champ in speed skating, he is also quite the dancer; winning the reality show "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007.

Updated Result: Feb 13 - (Mens 1500m) : Silver Medal

Jackie Brown (Freestyle Skiing) - No relation to Samuel L Jackson, don't know much about her, her best world cup result was 4th place. However, when googl'ing her, these were some of her top photos haha hopefully she'll have a better result this time...

"See I get high later on when I come back, see I get high at NIGHT, when I get through with all my business."
- Jackie Brown

Patrick Chan (Figure Skating) - Yes this cool looking stud is the Pride of Canadian Figure Skating. He takes up majority of the limelight in Canada, with many appearances in McDonald's commercial. "Experts" believe Patrick has potential to win it all. "Experts" also believe sex causes babies.

Updated : 5th place

Julie Chu (Hockey) - Choo Choo !! I gotta jump on this train, she's the first ever Asian American to play for the U.S Olympic Hockey Team. She's the all time leading scorer in NCAA history, a Honors Havard Grad, this could be her last year, so tune in, and watch Canada put her away.
"Julie.... I Chu Chu Choose you!"

Yuko Kavaguti (Pairs Figure Skating) - She represented her homeland Japan, She Represented her home USA... so whats next? Time to represent Russia? Since Japan doesn't allow dual-citizenship, she had to give it up, along with her Russian citizenship came a couple shots of vodka and some coupons for name changes. She is now known as Yuko Kavagui and no longer Yuko Kawaguchi.

Updated Result (Feb 15th) : 4th Place

"girls think: "wow shes so flexible""
"guys think: "wow she's so flexible"

Keauna McLaughlin (Figure Skating) - Its safe to say she's a dime. I mean she has to be, she's living up to a country who brought such Asian American Figure skaters as Michelle Kwan and Kristi Yamaguchi. Maybe we'll see her in singles competition one day.

"along with fame comes photos with creepy stalker guy"

Cheltzie Lee (Figure Skating) - Aussie Aussie Aussie.... Oi Oi Oi , Cheltzie is one of the new geneations of what I call the "Tiger Woods" breeds. What I mean is she's a mixed race, and brings a dangerous combo of the athleticism of African Americans, and the intellect and hard core work ethic of Asians.

Dennis Ten (Figure Skating) - Representing Kazakhstan? His Bio states he's of partial Korean Descent (His great great grandfather). He was able toe earn 2 spots for Kazakhstan at the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships, its the first time ever for Kazakhstan. There are enough Kazakhstan jokes I could throw in here, but instead i'll just recommend "Borat" he killed them enough....

Update : 11th Place

Kazhstanians would say this move is "verry verryyy niceee"

Jeremy Ten (Figure Skating) - Hey this guy is pretty good skater, but theirs one problem.. Patrick Chan!!! This guy gets no love, who is native of British Colombia as well. Canadians have left the red and white, for the colors of the rainbow. For the love of Canada Jeremy... one thing comes to mind "Sabotage Mr.Chan"

Caroline Zhang (Figure Skating) - At the tender age of 16, this happy-go-lucky teenager is a rising star with amazing potential. She came third place in the Four Continents Championship.Currently, she trains in the East West Ice Palace, which is owned by Michelle Kwan's Family.

Mirai Nagasu (Figure Skating) - This cute young jail bait won the 2008 US championships over Caroline. However Caroline Zhang now has the recruitment of the Kwan family. Will Kristi Yamaguchi take her under her wing? Sounds like some great drama, a modern day Sino-Japan war in the US!!

Christina and William Beier (Pairs Figure Skating) - Half-Filipino, Half-German, this brother sister duo is deadly just to look at. Christina is a fine dime, William... he's ok I guess. Having won the German National Championships 4 times, these siblings are ready to Fuck Shit Up!

Allison Reed (Figure Skating) - Born in states, His mother is of Japanese decent, Dad is American. While she competes for Georgia, her sister Cathy Reed who is also competing, is representing Japan.... man what's next? african baby from mexico who only eats italian food?

Kimiko Zakreski (Snowboard) - It's no secret, Canadians have beautiful women, Kimiko be thy name. Not only is she possibly the most attractive girl in the Olympics, she's also a pretty damn good Snowboarder too. Having won 1st in the Korea World cup, 2nd twice in the FIS world cup, she looks to represent Canada with a medal. But honestly, she's representing Canada already! Work it girl !!!
