Asian Jersey Shore ?!?! I Can't help to hate a bit on this !!!
In an interview, Tyrese claims he has good intentions. His logic states, black people gained exposure through the entertainment industry, so therefore so can Asians.
The happy yellow fucker in me is like, "Yeah Asian people on TV!"
The cynical mother fucker thinks, "Exploitation of Asians for self-interest and business opportunities!"
Come on JERSEY SHORE is a hit !! I agree, I love that freaking show !!! Trash TV at its BEST !!!
But does this type of show really have a place in the Asian community ?
I'm happy for my peoples to get their own reality show, as well for some national exposure.
The Guidos brought you into this new world of, tanning, muscles, hair spray, creeping and fist pumping... what are this Asian cast going to bring?
The foundation of "Jersey Shores" success was the stupid drama, the sex, the scandals, the punching of Women...
Therefore, if you try to re-create this how is it going to have a positive portrayal of Asian People ?
Just ask Italian Americans how they feel about being portrayed as Fist Pumping Guidos.
Isn't it possible, to re-create the show without such Trash ? Throw in a show with Community Channel (Natalie Tran), Niga Higa (Ryan Higa), Yao Ming, Yuri Tag, Hot Dog eating champ Kobayashi, and the Wonder Girls. Who wouldn't want to watch that?!! You don't need to mimic that trashy Jersey Shore culture ! You gave have Asians with big personalities without being "Drinking Party People"
What adds more proof to the cynicism in me, is that the cast they chose recently, really reflects the same style and personality of Jersey shore. They have their Meat Heats, and the Skanks. If Tila Tequila didn't open up the world to reaffirm "Skanky Asians" thought.... these girls look like their on pace....

OK I may be a little harsh, I haven't seen an episode of the show yet, so I should give them the benefit that it'll be also a cool show.
As retarded as the Jersey Shore cast is, their is some loveability in them. If it wasn't for the show, I personally would still hold some discrimination towards Guido & Gino's. Therefore, this "Asian Jersey Shore" could be that opening to Asians in a new lime light and not just as martial artists, math nerds and Asian porn stars.
What the fuck can you really do ? This show is going to happen, so all can do is wish the show well....... "Make us proud Yellow Faces"
